# Use Ask Presolve in iMessage

> Connect your phone number, ask questions, and review requests from Messages.

Message Ask Presolve to look up case information, ask follow-up questions, or prepare work for your approval. Replies stay in the conversation. Generated documents and larger reports stay saved in Presolve.

<Note>
  Ask your administrator for the Presolve messaging number. Messages use your existing Presolve account, case access, and action permissions.
</Note>

## Connect your phone number

1. Sign in to your own Presolve account and open **Settings → Account**.
2. Check the **Phone** number. If you change it, select **Save Changes** before verifying it.
3. To receive a welcome message after verification, turn on **SMS Notifications** and select **Save Changes** first.
4. Select **Verify Phone**, then **Start** to receive a verification code. Enter the code and select **Verify**.
5. Open Messages and reply to the Ask Presolve welcome, or start a conversation with the Presolve messaging number your administrator provided.

Send from the phone number you verified in Presolve. An Apple ID email address cannot identify your Presolve account. Use a direct conversation with Presolve; group messages and attachments are not processed.

Already verified? You can message the Presolve number directly. Existing verified accounts do not automatically receive a welcome, and enabling SMS Notifications alone does not send one.

## Review and approve a request

When a request needs approval, Presolve sends a review describing the proposed work. A longer review may arrive in several messages.

1. Read the complete review. Check the case, recipients, dates, amounts, document plan, and other details that apply.
2. Reply with **YES** by itself to approve, or **NO** by itself to decline.
3. Read the result. If the next step needs another approval, review the new messages and send a separate **YES** or **NO**.

Replies such as “sounds good” do not approve a request. Each review expires after **15 minutes**. If it expires, send **STATUS** to request a fresh review, or ask Presolve to prepare the request again. Read the refreshed details before approving.

Use **NO** to decline a review. **STOP** turns off messages; it is not the command for declining one proposed action.

## Check progress and find the result

Send **STATUS** to check recent runs and pending reviews. For work started in the phone conversation, Presolve can send later approval requests and a completion notice to the same conversation.

Documents and larger reports remain in Presolve; they are not sent as attachments. Open Presolve to inspect the saved result. Review generated material before using it in a matter, and check the relevant case or communication record after an action.

If Presolve cannot confirm whether an operation finished, send **STATUS** and check the relevant records before asking it to repeat the action. The original operation may already have completed.

## Stop or resume messages

Send **STOP** to stop new replies and completion notices from the Presolve messaging line once the request is processed. A message already being sent may still arrive. Send **START** to resume. Use these commands in the same conversation.

## If you cannot get started

| What you see | What to check |
| - | - |
| A request to connect or verify your account | Open the supplied sign-in link, verify your number in **Settings → Account**, and send from that number rather than an Apple ID email address. |
| No welcome after verification | Check that SMS Notifications was saved before verification. A welcome is sent only once; if the number was already verified, message the Presolve number directly. |
| No replies after stopping messages | Send **START** before asking another question. |
| A message about organization access | Phone access currently requires one eligible full-suite organization. Accounts with multiple eligible organizations or only intake access cannot use this channel; ask your administrator to review your access. |
| A request involving an attachment or spreadsheet updates | Open Presolve for file uploads and spreadsheet batch updates. The phone conversation accepts text and does not support spreadsheet batch changes. |
