For a matter event, open the case and select New Task/Event. This guide follows a one-time meeting; invitation delivery and provider synchronization are separate from saving the event.

Create the event

  1. Select Event in the drawer.
  2. Choose the event type, such as Meeting, and enter a descriptive title.
  3. Use Add Details for the description.
  4. Check the start and end dates and times. Leave recurrence at Does not repeat for a one-time meeting.
  5. Review the case, assigned user, followers, and reminders.
  6. Check Meeting Link, Email Invites, and Notify Client. Enable them only when they are part of the intended event.
  7. Select Create Event.

A saved event shows its schedule, linked case, type, and status.

Verify the saved event

Open Calendar, choose Month, and navigate to the event date. Select the event’s label to open its details. Verify the title, time range, type, case, and description. Selecting empty space on a date can open New Calendar Entry or New Task instead of an existing event. If you see creation options, close them and select the saved event label. The event details provide Edit and may use task terminology for event information. Confirm the actual type and schedule before changing it. For repeat choices or connected calendars, confirm the series and provider result separately before relying on them for scheduling. Related: Task creation and notification preferences.

Find an event from its matter

Open Case Assets → Calendar or the matter’s Events tab. Use the event search, Event Type, and Start/End date filters. Expand Past Events when the event has already ended, then select its title to open details. Review Details and History as needed. Mark as complete and Delete are separate actions from viewing or editing the schedule.
